(04/16/2006) Abbey Update

Well Abbey is doing great. We are catching up on some sleep today. This morning I took a morning nap with her and this afternoon she had another nap. She did very well through everything she went through. She had a hard night after her surgery, the nurse came in to check her at 2:00am she screamed until about 3:30 and nothing was stopping her! Yesterday she had her upper GI and she can't eat 4 hours before she has it, well we were right on time and heading downstairs when all of a sudden the power went out in the hospital. So it took about 20 minutes before it was back on and we were heading back downstairs when it went out again! Well Abbey did very well we finally got downstairs at 2:30 (her appointment was at 1:00) and they did the test. Well the test did show us something that she doesn't have a vascular ring or sling which the doctors have been telling us she has. So we are glad but also angry because we have been given the wrong information. So we don't know what is pressing on her trachea but we know something is because the picture of the blockage was still the same. The Radiologist said that he also didn’t see it on the cat scan either. So I will be calling her doctor tomorrow and talking to him to see what is going on! So I am pretty upset about everything and hopefully we can figure out what is going on. I will keep you updated. |
