(07/06/2006) Wisconsin June 30 - July 5

This is really hard for me to believe but Abigail slept through the night last night! She slept from 10:00pm to 8:00am! It was crazy! I have asked Steve about 5 times today if it really happened and we both think it really did. But I am not expecting it tonight but I will let everyone know if it happens again.
We had a good time in Wisconsin. On Friday Marty and Karen came over for dinner and hung out with all of us. Simon, Oliver and Abbey went swimming in the little pool Grandma and Grandpa got. It was really fun. Abbey went in the water jug because she fit in it better and it was a lot warmer than the pool. On Saturday Me, Erika, Beth and Jan went and got pedicures and the babies stayed home with Dad, Mitch and Daniel. We had so much fun. Then on Sunday we went up to Ladysmith for Pat's visitation. It was nice to see the family again but it wasn't under the best circumstances. We were there for a few hours and then we headed to the cabin but we actually ended up staying at Paradise Shores which is really close to the cabin. Dad, Jan, Erika, Simon, Abbey and I all shared a hotel room because it was the only one left. It actually worked out pretty well. On Monday was Pat's funeral. It was a very nice funeral. The whole day was very nice. On Tuesday the 4th we went swimming in the pool at the hotel which was a first for Abbey. She has never been in a pool. After her swim she took a shower for the first time too and she loved it. Then we headed to the cabin for the day. We were on the boat almost the whole day! Abbey wasn't a big fan of her life jacket so we ended up taking it off after awhile. We were tired of listening to her scream. But she loved being on the boat. That evening Me, Erika, Mitchell, Uncle Kim, and Daniel went to watch the fireworks on the boat. While Grandma and Grandpa stayed back at the cabin with the babies. We thought they were sleeping but when we got back they were all awake. The fireworks woke them all up. So after that we headed back to Eau Claire. Yesterday we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Bender's for lunch it was nice to see them and they were happy to see us all the 3 babies. Then Erika, Simon, Abbey and I made our way back to the cities. Abbey was excited to see her Daddy last night and her house. She was so excited when we got home it was cute! So that was all about out time in Wisconsin. We had a nice time and I have a ton of pictures of course! |
