(11/30/2008) Sick/New Picture on Homepage

Oh yeah one thing I forgot to add this morning Abbey farted when she was sitting by Steve on the couch and she turned and look at him and said you are stinky! She totally blamed Steve for her stinky fart! Heh!
We had a nice Thanksgiving. We hope you all did too! We went to Ron & Laura's first and it took Abbey a little while to adjust she was being really shy. But after she had a few snacks all of a sudden she jumped off Steve's lap and was ready to play. When it was time to go she wasn't ready to leave she told Steve and I to go by ourselves. But once we got her in the car she took a 10 minute nap to Jim & Sue's. Steve went outside with the guys to play football and the girls and I stayed inside with everyone else. They were interested in the room with the piano and books so that is where they stayed most of the time. Then we headed home Grandma Margaret and Grandpa Dan came over for a little bit and Alice took a much needed nap. Then we decided to go back to Ron & Laura's to play a couple games. Abbey brought a backpack with some books and a game. It was a fun day. Friday we went and got our Christmas tree. We went and cut one down it town. After we went and had an ice cream treat at DQ it was Abbey's idea. We got the house decorated we all headed to bed a little early but at 11:00 Abbey woke up sick! BOO! Poor girl. She was up for a little while throwing up. I wasn't feeling the greatest either so after Abbey went back to sleep I went into our bed and Steve and Abbey were in the living room. Well the next day Abbey wasn't doing very well in the morning and I wasn't either so I spent the whole day on the couch. Abbey felt better by 10:30. So she was herself asking to have her fingernails painted and for her hair to be put in pig tails. She has been really obsessed with things like that she always wants jewelry on or her hair done or fancy shoes on. We are in trouble with her!! Alice on the other hand is a little terror. She is into everything throws toys and hits all that fun stuff. Alice is still obsessed with baths and showers she usually asks for a bath a couple times a day. She says banana, Grandma and still screeches if she really wants something. Alice was sick on Monday night she threw up about 6 times and so the next 2 nights she actually slept which she hasn't been doing for a long time. But since Thanksgiving she is bad to her old CRAPPY sleeping habits last night she was up every 2 hours! It is awful! So this week we are going to work on getting her to sleep better. Hopefully it works.
Abbey can count to 20 now but sometimes she forgets 16 oh well. Then when she gets to 20 she says 21, 29, 20, 29. It is pretty funny. We will have to work on our 20s soon. We have our Christmas cards done I am trying to hand out as many as possible to save on postage. So look for those soon in your mailbox. |
