(11/14/2010) Birthdays and Thanksgiving

Ok I did say that I wouldn't be back until October but now it is November so we have a lot of catching up to do!! When I left off we were getting ready for Abbey's birthday party! They LOVED the bouncy thing (that is what they called it). She had such a fun party and we had the big jumper until Sunday night. After Abbey's party we headed to Indianapolis for Mitch and Megan's wedding. We had a great time there. Alice hurt her foot and we ended up taking her in for an x-ray but it was not broken. We wrapped it up tight and we headed to the zoo after lunch. By the time we were leaving the zoo she was walking on it again. Abbey was supposed to be the flower girl at the wedding but the day of the wedding VERY tired and hungry Abbey was not going to do it!! So Alice filled in and she did great! She was very nervous and by the time she was down the aisle she had her finger in her nose and was almost crying. I guess she puts her finger in her nose to calm herself down who would have thought. Heh. When we got home Abbey started her 2nd year of Preschool and Alice started her ECFE class. They also started a new session of Gymnastics. So we are busy busy during the week that is for sure. Then it was Alice's birthday the end of September. Her first party was at Grandma Jan and Grandpa Jeff's house it was a party for Grandpa, Aunt Karen and Alice. Then the following weekend we had a party at our house. Lucky girl she had 2 parties! Then it was October we were home every weekend in October it was so nice. We went to the pumpkin patch, corn maze and then it was Halloween! Alice was a turtle and Abbey was a nice witch. We had a great Halloween we actually went around the block this year which was pretty fun the kids liked it. Now it is November we had some great weather right away. One day we were taking Abbey to school and Alice went out in the driveway and said "Mama I smell something, yep I smell something (shaking her head yes). I smell summer!!!" We had some 70 degree days last week which is crazy because now we have SNOW!! Of course the kids made a snow man at about 8 am yesterday morning (TOO EARLY) and now this morning Abbey is whining to me to go out again and it started at about 7:30!!! SERIOUSLY!! I know it is so new but the coffee isn't even done yet!
Coming up!! This year we are heading to Montana for Thanksgiving!! YEAH!!! Thanks to our AWESOME family we are heading there on sky miles and help from them!! We leave on Thanksgiving day and get home November 30th. We can't wait!! 10 days and we are off!!
